WHAT IT IS

What CIPP Pipe Lining actually does to your pipe.

CIPP Pipe Lining (cured-in-place pipe) creates a brand-new structural pipe wall inside the old one. A flexible, resin-saturated liner is fed through your cleanout, inflated against the host pipe's interior, and cured using heat or UV light. When curing is complete, the liner has hardened into a seamless, jointless tube.

The cured liner bonds directly to the existing pipe wall and becomes its own structural element, carrying a 50-year manufacturer design life. Your yard, driveway, and landscaping are undisturbed. There are no trenches, no demolished concrete, and no surprise excavation bills.

CIPP Pipe Lining works on pipe diameters from 4 to 12 inches and can navigate bends that would stop conventional replacement. Cracked clay tile, deteriorating concrete, corroded cast iron, and failing PVC joints are all standard CIPP candidates.

Every LiningWorks CIPP job begins with a camera run to measure every defect. The liner is sized to your specific pipe, manufactured for the job, and delivered with a written warranty before installation begins.

COMMON PIPE FAILURES

Pipe failures CIPP Pipe Lining repairs from the inside.

These four defects account for most sewer failures we camera-diagnose in Charlotte. All are standard CIPP Pipe Lining candidates, resolved in a single day without opening the ground.

  • Cracked pipe joints: sealed by a new structural liner
Clay, concrete, and cast iron crack at the joints over decades. CIPP Pipe Lining encapsulates each crack inside a seamless resin wall, restoring structural integrity and stopping root entry.
  • Root intrusions: the seamless liner leaves no joints to enter
Roots exploit gaps as narrow as 1mm. The cured CIPP liner has zero joints, so there is nothing left for roots to penetrate.
  • Corroded cast iron walls: CIPP restores bore and strength
Interior corrosion narrows the pipe and weakens the wall. CIPP Pipe Lining bonds to the remaining wall and delivers a new, smooth interior bore.
  • Offset joints leaking effluent: CIPP bridges the gap
Shifted joints allow sewage to escape. CIPP Pipe Lining spans the offset and creates a continuous watertight seal across the entire defect zone.

HOW THE SERVICE WORKS

How our CIPP Pipe Lining works, start to finish.

A LiningWorks CIPP Pipe Lining job is designed to be completed in a single day. Camera run in the morning, liner cured, final verify, and you're done, usually before dinner.

1. Camera inspection measures every defect before lining

We map every crack, root entry, and joint gap. Liner length, diameter, and resin spec are all derived from the camera data; nothing is guessed.

2. Hydro jetting clears the host pipe for liner bonding

The existing pipe is pressure-washed to bare wall. Scale, debris, and root remnants are removed so the resin liner bonds without voids.

3. CIPP liner inserted, inflated, and heat-cured

The resin-saturated liner is inverted into position, inflated to the pipe wall, and steam-cured. Typical cure time is 2 to 4 hours for a residential run.

4. Post-lining camera confirms the finished seal

A final camera run checks every foot of the cured liner. You receive the before-and-after footage plus a written warranty before we leave the property.
